Reach the Gerry's UK visa office located on Shahrah-e-Faisal PECHS Karachi. A word of caution Gerry's people are somewhat trained to drain your pocket every one from guards to the visa employers. As soon as you enter you need to give your details to the guy at reception which will issue a token. He will automatically give you a token for premium lounge. Please note there is no visa
priority service in Pakistan. Gerry's provide a service know as premium lounge service where all documents will be scanned arranged and you will be guided while you sip coffee and rest on a sofa. All you have to do is to pay Rs.5000 extra.
They will literally try to force it down your throat it's kinda mandatory to use this service believe it's not It's a scam if you ask me, they will arrange the documents that you give them no such guidance is given and there is no effect on the priority of the whole procedure. Infact they have no say in your visa application they are just the middle man with no authorities. I was in and out before the premium lounge candidates. If you have extra cash then you are welcome to avail this service. If you don't you just have to pay for the scanning which is Rs.1200 per application. Please please do not get your photocopies done from there. It's Rs.14 per page and if you print the application then Rs.100 per page. Once your token is called your application and documents are scanned and sent online. You will be asked to pay the scanning fee and asked if you want to avail the sms tracking service for 250 Rs. Do take this service there is absolutely no way of online tracking the visa. You will be directed to biometrics after you pay (Please bring cash if not you will be allowed to complete your process then go get money from atm come back and collect the receipt) please keep the receipt safe for future use. You will get an email and a text that your application has been received. After that there will be radio silence for the next 10-15 days unless you have a document missing or your application has any issues.
You can not track the status of your visa online. If you want you can call Ukvi charges are 1.40€ per minute and 6€ per email. Don't expect much information from them either other than "in process" "decision not made" "decision made". Usually the procedure takes 10-15 working days. You will receive a call from Gerry's to come collect your passport with or without your visa. Gerry's receive visa from UKVI Islamabad daily in morning in a single batch. So if your visa isn't in that batch then it will be in next batch next day. My wife's visa came before mine. I had to wait 2 extra days before a got a sms that my processed visa application has been received late in the afternoon. I rushed to Gerry's to find that my passport was available since morning and that gerry's didn't bother to call me again after a single failed attempt to connect to me. So beware of these guys. When you go for collection of visa every single guard will ask you if you got your visa in other words pay us since you got the visa and when you try to give it to them they will ask you to place it in a certain area so they aren't seen taking money and they can collect it later. As long as you get your visa all is well and good. Some candidates have had trouble with their visas and end up having to wait long time to get them. But usually if you have submitted all the necessary documents it's unlike that your visa will be rejected since this is a straight forward government exchange visa with limit of 2years and the documents you submit are enough to satisfy Home Office.
