As CPSP is starting to expand its MTI program its opening up posts for more and more specialities. Currently they have scholarship programs in UK and Ireland. I don't have much idea about Ireland but in UK currently their program is running in 3 different areas
Birmingham (University Hospital of Birmingham), Dudley (Russells Hall Hospital), Walsall (Walsall Health Care).
The specialities that's offered are (including UK and Ireland)
- Acute Medicine
- General Medicine
- General Surgery
- Orthopedic Surgery
- Gynaecology & Obstetric
- Cardiology
- Gastroenterology
- Respiratory medicine
- Haematology
- Critical Care with anaesthetic experience
- Anaesthesia
- Emergency Medicine
- Ophthalmology
- Paediatrics
- Psychiatry
Please note that not all posts are available for all the hospitals. Some specialties might be available only as Senior Clinical Fellow. Acute and General Medicine may have rotations in different specialties which needs to be inquired during the interviews. CPSP is planning to extend its MTI to more specialities and more cities. So if your specialty isn't on the list fear not it most probably will be coming up soon. So keep an eye out for the next advertisement.
