The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust is one of the prime university teaching hospital trusts in England and holds an international standing for postgraduate training in healthcare.

The Russell Hall Fellowship Programme is a great quality training programme and trainees on these clinical placements are administered by a clinical superior and their training is supervised by an educational controller.

Eligibility and Application Process 


  • Candidates from all CPSP fellowship programs are eligible to apply.
  • Consideration will only be given to trainees who have been successful in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS- Academic) to a level that will allow registration with the GMC e.g. at least 7.0 in each testing area (speaking, listening, reading and writing), and an overall score of 7.5
  • Candidates must provide their experience which must be supported by the log book available with the College. The College may seek additional information.
  • In those subjects where IMM is not available, they can also apply after completion of two years successful training plus other requirements.

  • Candidates must be in good standing with the College
  • Selection will be based on interview and the final decision of the College.
  • Interviews will be conducted at CPSP Regional centres at Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi commencing 2nd & 3rd week of October 2018.
  • Successful candidates will be required to give an undertaking to the College and The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust that they will return to Pakistan on completion of their training and serve Pakistan for at least a year.
  • OET is also acceptable, at least a grade ‘B’ in each testing area (speaking, listening, reading and writing)

  1. Hi ,I'm Dr rubina .I completed my 4 years of fcps training in gynae.I haven't cleared part2 exams.now I'm moving to UK for settlement.can I apply through cpsp scholarship program?? And what is better to choose plab route or mrcog at this stage?

    1. This is just a 2yr program and you need to come back to Pakistan, if you are moving to UK anyways then go through MRCOG path

    1. School? This program is for residents who have atleast 2 yr residency after house job and cleared IMM or FCPS 2

    1. Through CPSP you will be able to apply as Junior Clinical fellow if the are recruiting for Gastroenterology in Junior Clinical Fellow Otherwise there is no other way you can apply without Plab or MRCP

    1. Usually they ask for score in the application, if They have asked for just a proof of IELTS you can upload your IELTS confirmation and submit application

    1. Really sorry but to need to work in UK you need IELTS or OET and if you want to go through CPSP pathway then IMM or FCPS 2 or if PLAB / MRCOG pathway then you need plab or MRCOG
