UHB is one of the largest university teaching hospital trusts in the UK and has an international reputation for postgraduate training in healthcare. The UHB International Fellowship Programme is a high quality training programme and trainees on these clinical placements are supervised by a clinical supervisor and their training is overseen by an educational supervisor.

Eligibility and application process


  • Candidates from all CPSP fellowship programs are eligible to apply.
  • Consideration will only be given to trainees who have been successful in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) to a level that will allow registration with the GMC e.g. at least 7.0 in each testing area (speaking, listening, reading and writing), and an overall score of 7.5.
  • Candidates must provide their experience which must be supported by the log book available with the College. The College may seek additional information.
  • Candidates must be in good standing with the College
  • Selection will be based on interview and the final decision of the College.
  • Interviews will be conducted at CPSP Regional centres at Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi week commencing Sunday 30th September.
  • Successful candidates will be required to give an undertaking to the College and UHB that they will return to Pakistan on completion of their training

  4. In senior clinical fellow u have mentioned, renal surgery as speciality. There is no such speciality in the world.
    Plz confirm what is this? Either renal transplant or peadiatric urology or uro-oncology?

I am doing training in general medicine (RTMC -Gen medicine) , if i apply for junior fellow critical care , can i get it ? and if spend 2 years there in critical care when i return back to pakistan , i ll be taking my fcps-2 exam in critical care or general medicine ?     1. Please make note that junior clinical fellow is basic general category with rotation in the specific specialty. Meaning you will general medicine trainee spending half the time in the general medicine and rest in critical care. So no you will give FCPS part 2 in medicine not critical care

  31. I am FCPS medicine and currently doing second fellowship in medical oncology already in Pakistan. I wonder what is a bettte option for me in this scenario?
    1- complete my fcps training of medical oncology and get a FCPS degree
    2- apply in this programme and at end of 2 years, get an experience certificate

    1. Apply as Medical Oncology as senior Fellow because you already have a FCPS medicine The 2 yrs UK will be counted in your second fellowship.

  36. When their interview’s will be conducted? I applied for last programme as well but I didn’t get a call! One of my colleagues told me that he confirmed for interview himself by directly calling cpsp, this time I called cpsp Karachi but no response from them, kindly let me know if anyone has any idea what to do next? I have my imm and ielts certificates as well
