UK has multiple visa options which can be quite confusing at times. But for this MTI post the visa you need is Tier 5 . It's a mutual government exchange visa scheme between UK and Pakistan in order to keep the talent within Pakistan and not to drain. The maximum possible duration of the visa possible is
24 months. You need to meet the requirements before you can apply for the visa The requirements include. a certificate of sponsorship from your UK sponsor
. £945 in savings - this is to prove you can support yourself and you must have had this in your bank account for 90 days before you apply (you will probably not need to show this because your sponsor will most likely be A rated)
. Have a valid passport minimum 6 months away from expiration date
. Tuberculosis Certificate
. Health Surcharge (Insurance)
These are the official requirements but a few other documents are required too.
The visa you will apply for will be for 2yrs. You cannot switch to any other type of visa except for tier 1 which is an Exceptional talent when you are on this visa, you cannot apply for citizenship. You will not get any public funds. You can bring your spouse along with upto to children (I believe). It will be a multiple entry visa so you can leave and return without issues. You should apply not more than 3 months before your planned travel date. Minimum time required for a visa reply is 3 weeks
The fees for the visa is £244 per person. Health surcharge (allows you to use all NHS services for free) is £200 per year so for 2 years £400 so total £644 per person so if you apply for spouse then another £644.
If you plan to apply for your dependents you need to show that you have atleast £630 per dependant unless your COS stated that maintenance will be provided for you and your dependents.
